Rudi Voller has resigned as Germany coach following the team's first-round exit at Euro 2004.
A 2-1 defeat to a weakened Czech Republic side, coupled with Holland's 3-0 win over Latvia, meant an early exit for the three-times European champions and Voller has now fallen on his sword.
He led Germany to the World Cup final in 2002 despite suffering a 5-1 home defeat to England in qualifying.
They lost 2-0 to Hungary and 5-1 to Romania in Euro 2004 warm-up games, before limping out of Euro 2004 in the group stages.
Germany finished with only two points from their three group games against the Czechs, Holland and Latvia.
